PCB layout - One ROMs with space saving USB-C connectors
In this video I cover the PCB layout of 4 brand new versions of One ROM - adding an upright USB-C connector the to 24, 28, 32 and 40 pin models. This is useful when you don’t have access to the inline USB-C connector when One ROM is installed. All of these new designs are based on the latest One ROM versions - including more efficient packing of ROM images and an RGB LED.
I plan to offer all of these for sale by the end of Septmeber. In the meantime the original upright USB-C 28 pin variant and all of the inline models are available on my online store: https://shop.piers.rocks
Firmware and hardware designs are all open source - see GitHub link below. The new designs will be published once they’ve neen validated.
